That’s all needed to hear. You win the argument, I’m out
They’re pretty reliable. Moreso than random YouTubers with no relevant credentials.
Let me ask you something. Do you trust the news? CNN, Fox, MSNBC, any MSM?
It’s hard to know what you’re even saying here. You’re just angry at people.
You have a mess of YouTube links that are all over the place. You have a lot of shallow, outrage-based things staring you in the face. You’re here moaning about your holiday plans being cancelled and going “lol 99% survival rate” like it’s a joke, but still claim to acknowledge it’s actually a dangerous disease… but maybe just for paper people who would be knocked over by a slight breeze though? And making insinuations that the death rate is somehow intentionally obfuscated to make this seem like it’s bigger than it is.
You don’t even have a cohesive, facts-based position to start from. You contradict yourself while shouting about politicians and celebrities contradicting themselves.
Do you honestly want me to dissect all of this for you? Because I think you should be doing it yourself.
I can tell you the CDC themselves provide a HIGHER death rate in 2018 as a whole, if not at an expected annual rate since then
But don’t tell me it’s killing people. I STILL wear a mask and am considerate of others, even though I don’t truly believe it would make a difference. I know the situation seems desperate, but when people frequently go out to visit a number of places every day, catching bacteria, touching objects, or so much as EXISTING, leaving said touch objects behind for others to continue touching– it’s literally only a matter of time before it gets to anyone and everyone. Either they’re going to survive (which is incredibly likely given statistics), or they’re going to die because they’re in that age range of being susceptible to everything including covid, OR because they have shitty immune systems anyway. But don’t get mad at me. I keep to myself, I stay 15 feet apart, I wash my hands, I social distance. I DO MY PART AND I RESPECT THE RULES
And what happens?
bullshit, that’s what happens
What happened with those politicians, the ones who promised us, and I quote “Two weeks to flatten the curve”. Well this is the longest two weeks of my life, but they act like they’re immune
And about the homeless? They’re still running around doings as they please. Why is nothing being done about them?
And why are certain individuals exempt from the rules? When you have state officials like Nancy Pelosi going to get her hair done, or Gavin Newsome going to a high priced restaurant, what does that tell you? What about the riots? The protests? George Floyd kills himself from ingesting Fenyatl and suddenly covid takes a break? Who needs a vaccine when you could just carry a BLM sign?
How is it fair that SNL legally finds a loophole to bypass covid rules, GATHERING A LARGE AUDIENCE, and then proceed to mock those against lockdown?
Even the CDC CAN’T AGREE on what to do because staying at home is somehow HIGHER RISK
Our economy is crashing, so many businesses have shut down, very high suicide rates and everyone around me including myself, are depressed. And crime is through the roof. I almost got shot TWO DAYS AGO, along with several other people, children included, when some gang shot up a clothes store my friend’s brother owned. First time something like this has happened to me. BANKS ARE FORECLOSING, PEOPLE ARE LOSING THEIR BUSNIESS AND HOMES.
Ironically, you’re probably right though. This situations IS dangerous and we still have no promised end in sight. Everyday I hope that this will end soon, but I’m just about out of hope. AND toilet paper… Plenty of bills though…
So’ I’m sorry my opinion “literally kills thousands of people every day now and drives the rate of deaths up like a rocket.” I’ll try to act more responsibly, like those who support the lockdown

Facts are not opinions.
Numbers are not being fudged to inflate the count. Reports of outliers like “guy killed by motorcycle crash listed as covid!” are normal, expected errors that get corrected. Because the people keeping track of this are both professionals and held to account, besides having no incentive to make this all up.
Death data is not being faked. If anything, we have an undercount. Anomalous deaths are WAY up this year, higher by nearly a hundred thousand more than last year even when the official covid cases are taken into consideration.
There is not enough edge case to reduce what we have to where it’s even approaching appropriate to sarcastically say “gosh I’m so scared.” You’re just feeding the narrative that this isn’t a big deal.
This is a huge deal, and not something where people should be contributing to the noise and FUD. Canceling holiday get-togethers is literally saving lives. Pretending this isn’t a serious problem is taking them. Frustratingly, we’re on track in America to have the same number of deaths by the end of this as we had die from the 1918 flu pandemic, despite the fact that we have immeasurably improved medicine (we didn’t even know flu was a virus until 1924) and more widespread knowledge of how to prevent diseases from spreading. People ignoring the facts and choosing not to follow the most basic measures to not infect each other is exactly why we’re seeing a huge spike of cases and deaths.
In case I haven’t gotten through to you yet, your “opinion” literally kills thousands of people every day now and drives the rate of deaths up like a rocket.
So yeah, I would appreciate it if you’d not spread that kind of “opinion” around in the first place, if you please.

Look I could make points and about how they found cases of hospitals writing death WITH covid as FROM covid, as well as other anomalies in the “statistics”, but I think that would simply warrant an argument between our opinions, so let’s just agree to disagree, because I bet this must be a sensitive subject for you, which I completely understand, as I myself have lost BOTH of my parents (unrelated to covid)
I’m not saying covid is a hoax either

In the US we’re losing 2 9-11s worth of people every 3 days, and before Thanksgiving it was 1 9-11s worth every two days. [Edit: just looked it up, we logged 3,000 deaths Tuesday and 3,500 Wednesday, so more like a 9-11 every day and the rate is accelerating.]
I had a hard time convincing my family to bend so much as to have Thanksgiving outside in nice weather. Two weeks later, my little brother tested positive and lost his senses of taste and smell, while my older brother partially lost his sense of taste, both are still having severe flu-like symptoms.
I’m keeping a close watch on my 73 year old mother who has COPD and hoping I don’t have to arrange her funeral for New Year.
If you think having to talk to your family remotely for the holidays is terrible, I can tell you from previous experience (father dying of cancer in early December) that losing the ability to talk to family members at all is far worse.
Do not downplay this pandemic. Do not take the safety of yourself and your loved ones for granted. Plenty of naive, entitled people like you have gone into this with the same underestimation and left grieving family in their wake. The fact that your family has wisely canceled get-togethers means they care about you and each other, that’s something to value rather than disparage.
Edited because: (updated death figures)
Sorry, I’m just pissed my family canceled Christmas AND New Years because they got covid.
Which means I’ll be spending the holidays alone… in my apartment…
You’re gonna make things worse. Might wanna listen to ABronyAccount here, who’s giving you advice.
@ABronyAccount
Agreed.
Can you not?
A cold with a 99% survival rate Vs. The actual cold
Gee, I’m so scared
Edited
Um…no, no it doesn’t. If you think Tampa is cold, then you don’t know what cold really is. If you want to see cold, go to Colorado
It still gets cold.
Yep, that pretty much describes all Sun Belt US states (and Puerto Rico)
Um…no it isn’t. I am in Tampa, and I don’t see any snow
That would’ve also been me had I been able to move to Las Vegas or Phoenix, Arizona.
