I agree with you.

As creepy as that last panel is, I can’t help but feel happy for her. I’ve read a lot and seen a lot of depressing ‘immortality sucks’ scenarios where Celestia has to live with the sorrow of outliving her beloved student Twilight Sparkle. But now that this Alicorn thing is apparently permanent, they can indeed live forever, barring accidents.
 
It’s nice to see a happy ending once in a while.
