May the Best Pet Win had Rainbow thinking picking a pet was akin to picking an army recruit.


 
I honestly thought while 2,4 6 greaaat wasn't a good episode, I feel Rainbow was expected to know something she had no clue on how to do. It doesn't help most of her bad episodes have somepony else at fault too. Like Mare Do Well had her "friends" humiliate and ridicule her just to teach her a lesson.


 
And as I said in Common Ground (the Quibble pants episode of S9) she was just fine. Honestly while I'm no fan of Quibble (besides being voiced by the awesome Patton Oswalt) it felt like the closest to Classic Dash we got that season.
