There’s something similar in Anime, it is called Censorship by “omission”; there was this Anime about a Dragon Girl that was able to transform into a giant flying Dragon. To do that she had to dispose or destroy her clothes, a lot of that girl’s screen time she was nude, and one could notice that she had no nipples or slit. When it was released on BluRay she got her nipples back.
