After the feast of Thanksgiving, the ponies (Mane 6: Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack and Fluttershy), two royal sisters (Princess Celestia and Luna), Cutie Mark Crusaders (Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo), Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, Trixie Lulamoon, Sunset Shimmer, the Dazzlings (Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze) and Spike the Dragon are now trapped on board of the Satellite of Love with Joel Hodgson, Michael J. Nelson and their robot gang (Gypsy (Jim Mallon, Tom Servo (Kevin Murphy), Crow T. Robot (Trace Beaulieu) and Beeper (Josh Weinstein)) in outer space while Cambot is staring at the crew and sent by the six mad scientists (Dr. Clayton (Trace Beaulieu) and Mrs. Pearl Forester (Mary Jo Pehl), Dr. Laurence Erhardt (Josh Weinstein), “TV’s Frank” Conniff, Professor Bobo (Patrick Brentseg) and the Brain Guy (Bill Corbett) to join Joel, Mike and the bots watching bad movies.

Don’t forget that in some episodes, it was explained that the Mads shut off the oxygen outside the theater during movies, as Mike tried to leave during “Invasion of the Neptune Men” (the one with the Hitler building), and Crow too. They both return several minutes later.

According to a remark by Tom Servo in the “Quest of the Delta Knights” episode of MST3k, apparently the MADS will kill them if they don’t hurry into the theater when they get “movie sign.”

I’m neutral on the whole “Joel vs. Mike” debates. I usually like Joel for the nostalgia, and Mike for the more edgy stuff.
