This reminds of something like a trope, of the seemingly hospitable King or Queen or Lord or Lady or whatever you visit who is then revealed to have a nefarious ulterior agenda that you discover mistakenly or serendipitously and then the hospitable King or Queen drops the facade 😈😈

Though… I feel like this is a trope I’ve seen before, but I can’t even think of an example right now 😵😵
