Are you talking about yourself with that second sentence? You seem to be extremely upset over a joke picture. Even more so than the Smash community.  
Nobody believes smash really is inferior to TFH but it seems you believe so yourself for being so defensive and making that edit picture.  
Also sales != quality, or you claim that Teen titan go is better than MLP. (And most fighting game don’t like stages affecting gameplay at all.)

Execution barriers are completely intentional to balance some moves. There’s a VERY good reason characters like Vega have charge limits on their moves. Fire up ol Capcom VS SNK EO on gamecube to see just how busted some characters can be once you entirely remove input barriers.

“White people” might be a poor choice of words, unless that’s a typo.
 
Though, I think it looks like a good game, and I hope it does well, (and gets a console/Switch release) the game hasn’t even been out a month, so it’s too soon for people to tout is as among the “best fighting games of all time.”
 
I mean, people are still playing & talking about the original SSB & Street Fighter games to this day, many years/decades after their release, but will the same be said for “Fighting Herds” years from now? We’ll see.

I’m just going to take a guess and say it’s going to be a while before them’s fightin’ herds outsells smash Brothers.

Also, wanna add, “Street Fighter 2” is still to this day considered one of the best fighting games, (some even prefer it over the SSB series) yet it doesn’t have online, (except in some rereleases) so honestly online play isn’t everything.  
Many great games exist that lack online features. So it’s kinda unfair (and kinda ridiculous) to say a game is superior, just because it has online.

As good as “Fighting Herds” looks, it’s a bit too early to actually tout it as “better then SSB.”  
Does it have better online? Yes, but granted it’s a much smaller game.  
Honestly, SSB still has many other features, more characters, a bigger single player campaign, more stages, more music, 8-player options, ect. so it has alot going for it, and honestly it’s kinda unfair to compare the two.  
One’s a big major crossover fighting game featuring a large selection of classic game characters, and the other is a new cartoonier indie fighting game, with new characters loosely based on MLP.
 
It’s like comparing apples & oranges.  
Saying it’s “better,” because it has one superior feature, is like saying “Pong” is better then “Pac-Man,” just because it has two-player, but I’d rather play Pac-Man personally.
 
Plus, honestly I think I prefer SSB’s more simplified button combination system over most other fighting games, and how it mixes platforming in, as well. (I hate it when some games make the fighting moves practically like “cheat codes”) So I understand SSB isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, as some prefer traditional fighters, but we all have our own preferences.

I mean if you are talking online then yes, yes it is by like a million miles. In terms of single-player right now it goes to Smash, but once TFH is finished I could see it actually matching or even edging out Smash just because of the tutorials and practice stuff they have. The two things that Smash has over TFH is roster and TFH will never catch up to that in a million years and overall multiplayer fun with friends offline which again they will never match.
 
Edit: Roster is by far the weakest part of TFH, I really hope they have more than Goat planed because they kind of need it. They need at least 6 to get it up to a roster of 12 minimum.

You underestimate just how bad the netcode in Smash really is. Lag everywhere on anything less than ideal with no rollback.

Online Smash isn’t even that fun anyway, as most online SSB players are ridiculously cheap, or experts. They really should have a pairing difficulty system like Mario Kart did.

So let me get this straight some think that TFH is superior to Smash only because it got into evo and the online mode is better?…I can’t I seriously just can’t deal with the mental retardation of this fandom sometimes.

Frankly, I don’t care. We should be glad Fightin’ Herds gets featured. SSBU is best played offline.

That’s a shame, ‘cause frankly, it’s my favorite fighting game series.
 
I think that’s actually what I like about the SSB series, you don’t have to memorize a bunch of new magic, complicated, ridiculous cheat-code-like button combinations when switching characters, (just one button, combined with one direction press may not be complicated, but each character still has many unique moves, it also kinda allows more variety in fighting moves, and mastering each character, how the shield/dodge works, using stage designs to your advantage, and such still require skill) and frankly nocking opponents out of a stage, and watching the explosion they make is just as satisfying as wittling their hitpoints to zero.
 
Also, “Ultimate” now has HP meters as a main option, as well, so you can have “stamina” matches too, if that’s what it takes to be considered a fighting game series.

I know people like to rag on Nintendo’s online, but honestly some of their games like “Mario Kart” & “Splatoon” work great on it, so it is curious why SSB has so many issues.

Thanks everyone, and it’s nice to hear that Skullgirls is in there too. It’s one of the only fighting games I’ve liked enough to spend time to try and learn how to play. I’m not normally a fighting game fan, but Skullgirls and Them’s Fightin’ Herds are worth the investment to me. Played Skullgirls on my phone, too.

You’re 100% correct. The smash community is actually somewhat HAPPY because this big event is shining a light on the fact that smash fans have been screaming “FIX YOUR ONLINE! FOR THE LOVE OF IWATA, MAKE IT STOP BEING SO BROKEN!” but haven’t been heard.
 
Hopefully smash bros being literally kicked out of EVO will make the netcode part of nintendo go “oh… dang… we should fix this.”
