uploading your art to the public grants people the right to criticize it. if you don’t like critique, upload better art.
calarts was a term coined by john kricfalusi as a way for him to make fun of people’s art that was more disney influenced instead of looking like his, which has nothing to do with the bean mouth style that people have a hate boner for. not to mention a majority of the “calarts” style pieces of media were made by artists that graduated in new york or other places that weren’t calarts.

But I would still recommend practicing a bit more. I’m not trying to be mean, and if my words come across as that, I apologize. I am only suggesting to practice some more. Practice makes perfect after all. ^^
That’s why I don’t upload anything I’ve drawn. Practice more then upload if you don’t want negativity.
Just because GIMP and Krita are free doesn’t mean they can’t be used to make amazing art. Bad art can be made just as easily with Photoshop as it can with anything else. The software is just a tool.
Whatever. Having a negative score so soon after uploading is never a good sign.
hate is a strong word, I prefer the term “images that make me go:

Ignore that other person. They’re just an asshole. I don’t care that you hate this pic I made, too. My other picture posted here got trashed, so I really should’ve expected this one to get negative press as well.
