Season 7- Same thing with Stygian.
Season 8- Cozy glow plays a similar role to Nightshade from g1.
Season 9- Everything the same but with Starlight taking Cozy Glow place in the legion of doom.
Season 7 - Stygian gets banished to limbo without anyone giving him a chance to explain himself
Season 8 - Nothing happens
Season 9 - Everything the same but with Starlight replacing Cozy Glow in the legion of doom
Starlight’s feelings of abandonment healed more smoothly.
Agreed, and I find it odd the same people complaining about “too many characters being reformed” want her, or insert other character here reformed instead. It’s almost like they want to go against the show no matter what. (And as I said, some would’ve been mad over Chrysalis reforming regardless.)
Yeah, even when she was shown “taking care of her babies” briefly, she still had that smug evil look like she was more interested in using them as an army, and getting what she wants, then caring about their wellbeing. Even baby larva Thorax looked scared of her.
That’s partially why Thorax defected, and befriended Spike. So it’s almost implied she was an abusive or Militant mother.
I remember one person’s wanting the show to reveal that she was never evil and she loved her subjects. now I don’t know about you but I think it was made pretty clear that she was evil and loving the invasion season 2 and was not doing it as a last resort.
Also that same person got upset when Ahuizotl was made a protector now I’m not going to act like that was a great decision but it makes more sense then caring Chrysalis
Yeah, agreed… I sometimes wonder if it wasn’t for Cozy Glow’s existence, there’d be less drama over the finale. (Which is a shame, because I like her, as she’s kinda a unique villain.)
Of course, some wanted Chrysalis reformed anyway.
Thanks to fanworks, alot of fans kinda romanticized Queen Chrysalis as some kinda, “Cute, sweet, bug mama, waifu.” People easily forget, she’s nothing like that in-canon, and hasn’t shown any redeeming qualities being a war-mongering queen.
I especially find it hypocritical people wanted to beat up Twilight for her constant so-called “Spikeabuse,” or Applejack for lightly smacking Spike on the head, yet nobody freaked out over Chrysalis threatening to rip off Spike’s body parts. (Seriously, where were all the rabid “Spike Protectors” when that happened? Now, I love Spike, but even I can admit, he has some overly-protective fans.)
Granted, some were actually afraid they were going to reform Chrysalis, (especially those whom hate the reformed changelings) and cheered when she turned down Starlight’s offer of redemption.
So even if they reformed her, half the fanbase would be mad regardless. There’s two extremes, some whom think nearly every villain should be reformed, and some whom think none should be.
As for Tirek, I just can’t see him, suddenly being nice, and having tea-parties with ponies. I think people only wanted him reformed out of association with Chrysalis & Cozy, and otherwise probably wouldn’t care what happens to him.
I can sort’ve understand the Groger drama, as I was kinda looking forward to having a new villain, and a rebooted G1 one at that, buuuut the more I thought about it… Even if he wasn’t betrayed by the villainous trio, and revealed to be Discord, trying to orchistrate an event to give Twilight more confidence. Then honestly instead he wouldn’t bring anything new to the series anyway, and would’ve just been another generic Doomsday villain, or the Thanos of MLP, and nothing more…
Plus, the villainous trio were more popular anyway. (Perhaps too much.)
Then of course, there’s Sombra, whom nobody is begging for to be reformed, or anything, (and he had a worse fate) in fact, there was drama when the IDW comics toyed with that idea. I guess, people have less love for “Castlevania/Ganondorf pony” then they do “Big demonic centaur, whom is compensating for something,” “small psychopath child,” and “bug waifu.”
Edited
I can kinda understand why people were so upset over cozy glow not being reformed because she was a child even if she knew exactly what she was doing.
But chrysalis and tirek? all three of them still invited Equestria even after learning what friendship could do do
I still see some occasionally, same goes for “green-eyed Sonic” haters in the Sonic fandom.
Heck, some still hate Cadance, Flurry, and such. Some even started hating Trixie when she became a recurring character…

I bet if this did happen, it would’ve pissed fans off too. (Seeing as there are some that do want every villain reformed.)
Just wait until you stumble upon Twilicorn haters in 2020. Most of them have left the fandom years ago, so they’re rare.
I think I’m gonna call [citation needed] on that.
