I think it is Toonboom, this definitely isn’t CGI, and Boulder Media uses Toon Boom extensively. I think PonyLife EQG would be set before any finale. Like, it is still apart of the EQG canon, but it just sounds like Hasbro is not ready to end the franchise, or it’s story. I’m interested to see what they have planned.

That would work!! It…okay this is a bit of a possible spoiler, so, It sounds like Luna and Celestia are sending Pinkie a bunch of weird potions to good around with.  
No idea why, but my fandom guess is that it is another example of how…relaxed they can be. After all, Celestia invited Discord to the GGG specifically because she wanted to have fun, she loved how the Mane 6 wrecked the last one, and we know she can be a bit of a troll and an adrenaline junkie.

I feel like we will, but OG Equestria Girls will transition to become Ponylife. Like, they aren’t leaving EQG behind and starting again, we will see EQG continue, just with a new artstyle. For example, if you remember this, American Dragon Jake Long did this weird unexplained art change between the first and second season, but carried the plot on without dropping it.

Well, that’s the tricky thing. Some folks started spreading false info about Ponylife and G4.5  
Ponylife is a FiM continuation. It has the same characters, same backstories, same everything EXCEPT it has a chibi artstyle and will invest in slice of life.  
The story is being continued by the comics.  
EQG never…really had a spanning story through season 1 and 2, just stories that were kinda limited to the specials. So, a future EQGLife series will carry on the story, same Sunset, same girls, same school, with a new arc for that season, just like the last 2 have had.  
It kinda looks like Hasbro just…doesn’t want to conclude EQG. They turned down the pitch for a finale and the new toys show they are still in High School. Whatever people’s opinion on that, it seems to be a Hasbro thing, not a EQG vs Ponylife thing. Maybe Hasbro doesn’t know where to go with the series is the Mane 6 graduate, maybe they think it is too risky, who knows.

It will probably be indistinguishable from a 3rd season, since season 1 and 2 didnt really build towards anything. They were just kinda stand alone.  
But, it is PonyLife style. If you dont like that, give it a try. I can guarantee it will not he nearly as bad as you think, and based on some of the info leaking out, it looks line it will be pretty darn good.

It isnt a hard reboot, with a new set of characters, etc…  
It is carrying on from some point in FiM’s story, but it is a soft reboot in that it has a new art style, a new story, and new focus.
