Same, there was even a joke in “Frenemies” where it almost seems like they’re going to learn to be friends, but then shrug it off disgusted humorously. Though, some fans oddly took it literally, and assumed it was a hint they were going to be reformed setting themselves up for disapointment.

Am I odd, because I actually prefer them as villains? Nothing against reforming some characters, but not every bad person can be reformed realistically unfortunately.

the thing is there are many fan favourite characters that have similar designs to others.and of course just shows been doing recolors since season 1. I remember people didn’t complain about daring do to being a rainbow dash recolor and how she was made a real pony but she was on the cover of the book even before rainbows started reading it

When you get down to it, almost every pony is a “recolor,” with different colors, and different manes/tails, eyes, and cutie-marks.
 
If people are going to hate on Spur for having similar hair to Cozy, they might as well hate every character for having similar bodies.
