More pony gundam armor commissions for . This time it’s Team Trinity, three of the antagonists from Gundam 00. From left to right are Michael, Johann and Nena. Their gundams are the GNW-002 Gundam Throne Zwei, the GNW-001 Gundam Throne Eins, and the GNW-003 Gundam Throne Drei, respectively. As always, it was quite a challenge taking the armor and making it work for pony bodies. I’m still figuring out how armor for different types of ponies would fit with their inherited abilities- e.g. would Michael’s thrusters need to be as powerful since he’s a pegasus and can fly already? (Yes, these are the questions over which I lose sleep. ) All of the suits can fly (even Johann’s- he’s just on the ground at the moment) , but the thrusters, plus the power of pegasus wings, might make the suit’s flight that much stronger/better than others. I don’t know.
Speaking of which, I’m not sure why I made each of them a different pony race, since they’re siblings, but it made sense at the time. Like, they’re an effective team partly because they cover all the strengths of each race. I don’t know. I went with what fit their personalities; Michael as the sort of militant bruiser, Johann being more down-to-earth (no pun intended) , and Nena being an evil genki girl. They’re all dark, as represented by their somewhat muted colors (in comparison to others) and their cutie marks. Michael’s sword looks evil, rather than heroic, since violence is an end unto itself for him. Johann is an excellent marksman, like the good guys’ Lockon Stratos, but while his cutie mark is similar it’s more menacing. Nena’s is misleading on purpose- it’s meant to be mistaken for a pretty flower of some sort, just like she might be mistaken for your usual, flirtatious teenage girl. It’s actually a reference to her gundam’s GN Stealth Field, which makes that shape while in use. (Also, since Nena doesn’t have fingers as a pony, she makes her trademark ‘v’ sign by using one of those foam hands. I assume she keeps it in Hammer Space when not in use. )
