I think the series should end with Celestia and Luna turning Twilight into an alicorn and making her their new ruler in charge of both day and night, and her friends each get royal jobs. (Pinkie becomes the royal baker and entertainer, Rarity becomes the royal seamstress, etc.) But I HATE the idea of Twilight becoming an alicorn this early (with a possible fourth season coming up) and staying one for the rest of the series.
I do, the way I see it this is a total repeat of that panic, and in the end everyone is gonna end up liking it.
People like that just cause me to roll my eyes at their lack of understanding of the following basic premise of television production: creation is a collaborative process
My question to those people is: How do you know if the show would have been better if faust stayed on? No really, how do you know? Nobody is perfect, and even great creative people make mistakes from time to time.
Also I dislike the attitude because it implies that “Without X around, you all suck regardless of your output” towards the rest of the production staff.
You can hang out here amongst what I consider to be some of the reasonable fans I’ve come across
Remember the Cadance panic?
I dont.
Remaining on /mlp/ really skewed my perceptions of bronies. But where else could I hang out?
She’s not really more powerful like that though as far as we know, just really frustrated and angry.
I actually thought that eps 5-7 (Magic Duel, Sleepless in Ponyville and Wonderbolts Academy) marked a sharp increase in quality this season.
I watched first four episodes, didn’t care about them. Guess without Lauren’s influence it’s just not the same show. And reading tvtropes pages for new episodes only confirmed to me that I didn’t lose much.
She can already do that. And her burning form looks a lot color than just getting wings, which she can also already give herself.
Twilight tried to create a spell to fix everything, but need god-tier magic to do it, so she was turned into an alicorn somehow (I’m betting elements of harmony due to this scene from the promo). Celestia crowned her princess of magic for the feat, but she refused and turned back to normal.
Since there actually are people who like the idea (I personally don’t care either way), it’s probably because it WILL end up developing her character somehow. If she’s actually becoming a princess, it would give her greater responsibility. As Celestia’s student, she might have some greater purpose that she’s meant to fulfill. It’s not just some fanfic where “she can fly now because alicorns are cool.”
The only thing that concerns me is their ability to keep doing regular slice-of-life episodes if she does become a princess. I feel like if she does become an alicorn, it won’t be permanent, and things will return more or less to normal at the end of the episode.
So uh, why won’t you want season 3?
I think some people just like the idea of Twilight going Super Saiyan.
It’s not something a lot of people wanted, it’s something that has a chance of happening. Some people are just being all Chicken Little about it.
I’ll wait until I see the finale, personally. The synopsis has nothing to do with a coronation at all.
Why do some people want Twilight to become a winged unicorn? It doesn’t really add anything to Twilight’s character that she doesn’t already have, and it has nothing to do with her character development.
