I don’t even understand this ‘better ending for Chrysalis’ tag. It would be a shoe-horned ending, not a better one. Her die-hard fans are literally asking for her character to be written badly just so she could be reformed. There is nothing to reform with Chrysalis, she’s been a Disney style villain since day one. Reforming her (at least in the all-out sense implied by memes like this one), especially this late in the game would have been bad writing, full stop. Why can’t her fans just enjoy her as the ruthless villain she was written to be across 5-6 appearances?
 
People should enjoy that she was loyal to how she was written across the whole spectrum. They should enjoy the fact that she was defiant to friendship through till the bitter end, still leaping at her enemies even when being turned to stone. They should enjoy the fact that Chrysalis is so strong-willed, so focused in her goals that, despite being in a show about friendship, and appearing more than any other villain, she still remained evil through till the end. That is her legacy and it is awesome.

 
But oh no, she’s this sweet, warm-on-the-inside fan interpretation everyone loves to pretend she is, right? Because headcanon surpasses canon when you just believe hard enough, right?
