Such a shame. I would’ve loved to have seen more episodes involving them, especially seeing Silver Spoon evolving beyond just being Diamond’s lackey, which we saw a hint of in “Crusaders of the Lost Mark.”

Simple, not all ponies (and people) could be beautiful outside. It’s sad but it’s a realistic lesson, and sure Twist is a wonderful mare in other aspects.
 
IMHO I am agree with “@The Equestrian Zodiac, but I understood the authors choice.

She grew up to be a splendid Snails.

They sidelined Twist because her actress, Alexandra Carter, moved away from Vancouver at some point, I’m guessing during season 2.
 
As for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, Jim Miller revealed on Twitter a little while back that the team had pitched some stuff involving those two after CotLM, but were shot down by a Hasbro executive who said their stories were over.

Kind of like giving her Allie Way’s design, for example, heck, Air Way uses the exact same design.
 
 

I didn’t like the twist design, it’s just as if I stuck a model of an adult pony and just stuck hair from the foals. A twist is so kind of a freak, although they could have beaten that she’s an ugly duckling at school, and now she’s such a beauty that Sweet Belle and Diamond Tiara are not in competition.
 
I would like Twist to be more beautiful, her design is even worse than when she was a foal.

Kinda feel like the show missed out on some opportunities of character interaction and development by side-lining Twist early on, by diminishing Silver Spoons’ role to be a sidekick to Diamond Tiara that was always in her shadow, and by completely forgetting about Diamond Tiara following her redemption.  
We could have easily seen dozens of episodes involving these three characters alongside the Cutie Mark Crusaders, something that the Fandom accentuated best in Past Sins by Pen Stroke, where Nightmare Moon gives Twist her CMC Cape to make her a Cutie Mark Crusader, and rewriting the very codex of the Cutie Mark Crusaders saying that even if you have your Cutie Mark, you can help others discover their own, and to learn new ways and techniques on how your Special Talent can operate beyond the surface level. This actually has a major payoff in the Nyxverse fan series by Ralph “Reality Check” Hayes jr. In the 2nd chronological installment Nightmare Night and Nyx, The Cutie Mark Crusaders membership exploded in size and popularity to include other characters like Rumble and “Equestrias’ Best Daughter” Dinky, their insights not only work towards expanding the scope and size of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but also creates one of the most badass Nightmare Night Trick-or-Treating teams where they basically mapped out the entirety of Ponyville to efficiently gather the most candy in the shortest amount of time, and don’t get me started on their Crusadermobile.

I think Twist is kind of cute now. At least in the face. She’s kind of impossibly thin now but we can just say she’s… lithe. Maybe she actually has some kind of growth disorder?

Anypony think that Diamond Tiara is the current Mayor of Ponyville?
