Did you miss when Starlight almost tore the scroll in The Cutie Re-Mark? She, Twilight, and Spike were this close to being stuck in a time loop forever. Starlight’s the one who made the timelines and came up with them. I never said they were alternate universe counterparts - they were alternate timeline counterparts - but it perhaps means during them they suffered from a different past. I know, I know, no excuse to be evil but think of Nightmare Moon. Wanting the night to last forever and kidnapping her own sister. Discord. Brainwashing the ponies and actually liking doing so. Ahuizotl. Intending to drown Daring Do in quicksand and feed her to snakes. And planning an 800-year drought. Garble. If he won the Gauntlet of Fire, he would have stolen everything from Equestria and burned it all down. Sunset Shimmer. Taking Twilight’s crown and therefore leaving the Elements useless. Stygian / The Pony of Shadows. Become evil just because the Pillars had no time for him.
 
All these villains are reformed. And even if the Legion of Doom is considered murderers, some of the reformed villains are as well.

Hypocrisy, thy name is background pony 9983.  
Either the alternative timesline matter or they don’t matter. If they do matter, then Chrysalis’ action in the alternative timeline is in character with the current timeline’s chrysalis, since they are the same being.  
If they don’t matter, then you can’t say Starlight harmed anyone with the alternative timelines.

Starlight wasn’t intentionally causing deaths with her actions, period.
 
If you CANNOT see how that can reflect on Chrysalis and Tirek’s personalities, that’s on you.

Did you miss the part where Tirek used Twilight’s friends as leverage, hostages, implication being he’d kill them if she didn’t obey, and how he was fighting to kill her? Did you miss this line in Cutie Re-Mark?
The changelings attacked Ponyville! We barely escaped with our lives!
They made that story up because murdering ponies was very believable to the resistance against the changelings.

Did you miss how Chrysalis banished Twilight to forgotten caverns in her debut and pissed her off in a way that could’ve ended in Cadance’s death?
 
Like I said, Cadance is one pony. In the alternate timelines Starlight created, billions of ponies died.

Cozy is a pegasus without any particular “dark powers”. Now him making (or twisting) changelings and centaurs is somewhat more plausible, but if so, neither Tirek or Chryssy seem to know about it.

How about blowing them up with giant fire blasts? I doubt Starlight would have survived if Cozy’s plan completed either - and what of the Manes she trapped in Tartarus? I can’t point to a direct act of murder in Chryssy’s case, ,but her attitude shows no compunctions agains it.
