That’s true though personally I’d like to make up my own conclusions without “true canon” being a factor when a show ends. That way I’m neither right or wrong. Still it confuses me why they decided to do this, not just making Cheese and Pinkie an item but changing Twilight as well. You know from all the leaked stills I’ve seen on here, to all the comments I’ve read, I’m afraid this final episode of MLP may turn out as bad if not even worse than the final episode of The Big Bang Theory.

Part of me agrees with you. I’m not too fond of time skip endings myself. But at the same time, I don’t really think it should take away fan interpretations. I’ve been in other fandoms that have time skips like this one, including some controversial ones (like Digimon and Harry Potter). And those time skips didn’t stop fans from making content. Just like any fictional media without time skips, they either choose to make canon accurate fan content or they make AUs.
I am not really for sure I’m gonna watch this episode. Honestly I hate time skips, I feel like they take away fan interpretation of what the future could be. Oh sure this makes Cheesepie shippers happy but what about the ones who ship Pinkie and Cheese with other ponies I am not one of them but still. Now it is not that I’m knocking on this this ship just trying to avoid and or prevent confrontations. Anyway I always thought the thing was that the Mane six were gonna stay single, oh well since its only Pinkie and maybe Fluttershy I’ll deal with it. Truth is these are only (Mane six character x male character) that doesn’t make me cringe that much.

Yeah and those that didn’t happen also weren’t dismissed either, so technically this all could work out as in her world. Of course if we retcon Bride of Discord because that story didn’t happen in canon.
