I mostly love the almond-shaped eyes. I like to give it to creatures who should be creepy or threatening, and probably would be if they appeared in someone else’s story, but ultimately aren’t :D  
 
So when I see canon characters with them I immediately think “monster” XD

This is set right after his failed attempt to close her school. The whole joke is that (in my continuity at least) lamias and Equestria have been very strong political allies for quite a while, so the hypocrisy of him closing her school due to the “danger of the non-ponies” yet being married to a lamia (and an incredibly venomous one at that) is totally and completely lost on him. Even more so that most ponies are scared of them since, despite their alliance they rarely interact personally, yet Neighsay is in a pretty high political position and has thus interacted with them tons of times XD
 
Also, of course, the whole contrast that Twilight, who otherwise is wholly in favor of integration and not judging non-ponies by their race, is utterly terrified of lamias and the hypocrisy is totally lost on HER XD

I wonder if this is before or after Season 8…If before, this is probably a secret matter, in order to hide the blatant hypocrisy. If after, he was right to experiment like this.

I’m going to headcanon that he met her at bar that welcomes “every creature” once he got over his xenophobia at the end of season 8.

After getting mobbed by angry students, taunted by a megalomaniac filly, losing all magic and getting psyced by a charging yak. I would need all the ice cream and snuggles with snek wife too.

She’s quite pretty actually.
