Torch likes to scout the ocean for sunken ships so he can salvage and restore them. He has quite the collection already and now that he is retired he has plenty of time to pursue his hobby. He spends many afternoons repairing all sorts of vessels with Sparky, his pet slingtail, by his side.
 
Ember has chosen an inopportune time to visit her father, because he found a well-preserved beauty of a vessel. Now she’ll have to listen to him go on and on about boat facts.  
It’s what she gets for playing on her father’s boats when she was little, despite him expressly telling her not to.
