“Slappy Squirrel: Cartoon troll of ALL time.
Long before any of us even knew what a troll was besides those creatures that live under the bridge!
I made this to celebrate today, because this is the day that the Hub has officially made the Animaniacs a series on their channel, and a number of us who can recall television memories are enthralled with joy.
For anyone who remembers watching the Animaniacs, besides the Warner siblings, we ALL can remember Slappy Squirrel, that cranky but lovable character who isn’t afraid to say what she wants, let alone do what she wants. And every moment with her onscreen emits even more laughter.
I still remember the episode “Critical Condition” where Slappy proved herself an even larger ‘Looney Tune-y’ character than any of the Looney Tunes to a couple of critics who held doubt for her. NEVER. DOUBT. SLAPPY.
And for all us MLP FIM fans, we OBVIOUSLY know Pinkie as the only mare who can break the fourth wall, let alone act in the basis of ‘cartoon physics’ more than anypony.
My thoughts were: Pinkie’s funnybone tends to either make her friends laugh or drag them into dire situations…I wonder what would happen if such a thing was performed by Slappy and on HER?
Explosives were always my favorite props of a basic cartoon. And Slappy tends to carry more than one in her purse every now and then.
Again, welcome back, Animaniacs, you’ve just made the Hub, well, as some Rainbow Dash fans would say, 20% cooler.

A character will throw a pie at Slappy’s face and say “Pies are funny!” And Slappy will say, “Yeah, maybe in movies. But in cartoons, Pianos are funny.” She will then walk away and a piano will fall on the other character’s head. A character will literally explode is frustration of something, leaving Skippy looking confused and she will turn to him (and us) and say, “Eh, it’s a cartoon thing. She’ll be fine.” At the same time, she isn’t immune to cartoon tropes because she is a cartoon and is okay with taking some of the pratfalls cartoons take.
That’s why, to me, Slappy is so much funnier than Pinkie.
Nobody’s gonna speak up?

I could actually see slappy doing something against pinkie, if only because she was VERY annoyed at her antics.
Which, after a while, would probably end in a good natured way (Kind of like how “A Friend Indeed” ended, if somewhat Loonier).

Wonder if any artists at Derpibooru wish to take a challenge? Take any image drawn by CL, and rework it into something conceptually funny, logical and/or visually sound (by either redoing a scene or a follow-up, round-robin style) and send it to her on how it might done? It’s a thought but maybe it could be one way to help stop this annoyed OOC moments she keeps doing.
Well, we can pretend Slappy is asking legit like she’d just stop the fuse at the last-moment. “Kid kid kid, you got a lot more to learn. Follow me.”

I had suggested some things in the past but I doubt that she took the suggests to heart and completely ignored the constructive criticism. Just post my opinions here and see if it is reasonable or agreeable in the concept breakdown.
I said something along the lines of fine if that how you want to feel however other artist manage to do these sort of things without expecting people to take them seriously and without basically saying this character is better than the other
and shes just, im glad this conversation could end on a good note
I think it’s a toon rule or cartoon law that Wise-cracking characters (Bugs, Slappy) would never try malicious gags on those that don’t cross their ire in a mean way. Those that do (Daffy) usually end up with comeuppance a for their actions. Like Karma. Pinkie, while a fourth-wall breaker and a prankster, none her actions were meant as cruel or mean-spirited.
Hence, if Slappy did try her gags on Pinkie, audience would view as unnecessarily cruel, since a number of Pinkie’s action are meant for fun and not mean-spirited.
Another reason why if Slappy teamed up with Pinkie to teach her ways to do comebacks on the likes of Diamond Dogs, Gilda, Iron Will, it would be more fitting of a crossover team-up.
I wanted to think it was different =/
Just to be sure, has Slappy ever screwed with anyone good-natured?
