One of the reasons I love Rarijack is that it has a delicious melodramatic edge, to me. Unlike the metrosexual, flamboyant Rarity, I just don’t feel AJ would ever be openly bi or gay. Maybe I’m stereotyping, but I suspect she might be a bit traditional about such things. I like the thought that Rarity’s obvious crush is something AJ is trying hard to ignore and deny, and then when the time comes that Rarity is explicit about it, there will be recriminations and tears. Lots and lots of lovely drama…

Actually, Rarity tends to be very affectionate towards just about everyone. That could explain why she’s a popular choice for shipping…
