Its okay, even Big Jim said that show staff tease some ships, so i have no doubt that many RariJack, Discoshy and LyraBon moments were teased as romantic intentionally but the story itself still does treat them as platonic. Its just something some animtaors and writers tease but overall official thing is friendship and only pairings like MaudxBriar and SugarMac are officially approved by Hasbro execs. Big JIm recently said that its hard to convince hasbro exec to ship a mane6 character while they have no problem with secondary minor character getting a love interest. In this case, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity are part of main cast. I think they also count Discord as such since he also doesn’t get any love interest officially beside some teasing with Fluttershy by animators.

I think its mostly just animators supporting them. The writers like Nick Confalone wrote in RagaMuffin to ruin this ship and yet animators made him look like male Aj and make him stand next to her to make people think Rarity has a taste for Aj. But Nick didn’t know this will turn out like this in the actual show.
