Yeah. It will give power to those who lack the means to enforce their copyright. By letting a giant out of control bureaucracy decide for them what is and isn’t fair use.
 
Also I wouldn’t want this site or any site for that matter to follow in the footsteps of Youtube because Youtube is getting into some really deep shit this month.

Except for the part that this is wrong.
 
The idea is to give the people the right to fair use in those EU countries that still lacks it. It also gives the power to small creators to protect their content, and to protect them from bullying from the large companies.
 
The idea is that more sites that feature user uploads, should go towards what YouTube does. But not to the full extent. It also sets to give the defender of their content more power than what YouTube does. – Derpibooru for example already does this, so it’s doing fine. – It is to combat torrent sites that says “we’ll gladly take down your content if you let us know by a business email”, and hosts copyrighted content illegally.
 
This directive surely isn’t perfect, but it is going in the right direction.

The biggest mass censorship bill in the history of the internet that is set to eclipse China’s level of censorship. Basically, it holds the website owners themselves responsible for any and all Article 11 infringing content (which includes even linking to copyrighted material regardless as to whether or not it falls under fair use).
 
In short, an EU law that screws over everyone but the biggest tech giants and mainstream news sites on the web.
