I think that as long as enough lumber from both lands was used, the barn would at least understand its heritage a bit better and be a little more hesitant to decry an entire species due to ill-conceived prejudice.
 
Plus, I dunno, maybe use screws and nails made in Griffonstone too, just to make sure xD .
