Most people who call themselves Christians don’t read their own bible. They have no idea what any of those books and verses are, and still will not see any value in Ponies.

I find the comments really funny for various reasons.

26 minutes from first comment to first real complaint. I think that’s an internet record for religious stuff.

The values it tries to espouse are good.
 
But people ain’t perfect. I don’t support the actions of the Catholic Church, but, well.
 
This is mostly why I prefer to think of faith and religion as a very personal thing; pushing it on others is more or less the definition of bad action.

Don’t forget to kill anyone who breaks the rules. Very important, that.

I’ve read the Bible a few times, and I can’t fathom why someone would want to take these quotes and throw them on a collage of ponies; they really mean nothing in this context.
 
The OP seems to be climbing trees to draw conclusions about things that have nothing to do with one another. I believe that the Bible is incredible literature, but stating connections between it and FiM is like making comparisons between apples and oranges.
 
Religion has nothing to do with this.

So how come the Roman Catholic church is all about discriminating against everybody, starting religious wars, amassing a huge fortune for itself, dissing the choices of other people it has nothing to do with, and generally being NO HAVING FUN GUYS?

Just because bad things have been done in the name of the Bible- or because there are things in the Bible that I disagree with- does not mean that the values that it tries to espouse; love, kindness, forgiveness, and the like, are not good.
 
And this is from a non-Christian.

I Don’t like the bible but I certainly don’t hate it. Mainly because things like these are in it.
