I just told you, because given this shows demographic and the parameters that define its existence, the probability that the scenes interpritation other than this being an articulation of mere friendship is low. Its possible that the interpritation of romance was the authors intent, but probably not. If this is what one believes, which I do as well, I would challenge any assertion that it is anything otherwise. You jumping straight to homophobia is abolutely a strech given a lack of other information to substantiate this assumption. My explanation is much more likely.
