People who say that are either media conglomerates trying to umdermine it because it means they would have to put work into changing their systems or people who believed them and didn’t read the directive. Don’t even get me started on the horribly stupid muth about “European Union wants to take away memes and place taxes on links!”. These have been debunked since over a year ago.
