Generic title, I know
 
This is little Crystal Ivy (made some changes to her design) and her parents, King Sombra and Queen Chrysalis  
Before yall comment, let me explain
 
In my HC, when Sombra was still ruling (before he became corrupt) he was married to Queen Chrysalis in alliance. Even though the marriage was almost completely arranged, they did grow strong feeling’s for one another. Both could appreciate the determination they had for their respective people. After years of marriage, they produced a daughter.  
When Sombra became corrupt, one of the first ponies to find out was Chrysalis. In response, she made an attempt to evacuate the empire. The changelings were able to escape fairly easily, but the crystal ponies were not. It is at this point that Sombra decides to put the empire into lock down, including his infant daughter. But, one brave pony wanted to reunite the foal with her mother.  
Unfortunately, the pony had waited to long to execute her plan, for the princesses of the Sun and Moon had come to defeat Sombra. When the empire began to disappear, the pony panicked. In one last act of desperation to keep the foal safe, she encased the foal in a cocoon of crystal.  
(I highly based this off of this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2Mt-H… it’s basically the same HC but I shoehorned Ivy in there)
 
I know Ivy definitely isn’t an infant in this picture, but this was originally a “what-if” scenario in which sombra never became corrupt. I liked the way the picture turned out so I didn’t change it.
