I gotta admit, if we can’t joke about the Indian convenience store clerk which like many stereotypes has some basis in truth(I’ve run into several, so I know its actually a thing. None did the line though, sadly), where do you draw the line? If you get offended at even this, what will you not want to censor? The fact that Canucks tend to say Eh all the time? The fact that Americans like explosions and guns? Geeze, eventually I won’t be able to ask why the chicken crossed the road without someone being offended that I questioned the chicken’s motives. A year or two ago, I would have considered this hyperbole, now I’m not so sure…

The leaked emails said they were actually considering getting rid of Applejack because they found it too hard to write as well as they wanted to for a conservative (in the nonpolitical sense) southern country pony. If she stayed the idea was making Applejack an “urban bad girl” (aka zebra in a noncontroversial pony body) who starts out as an antagonist, but with a heart of gold that shows through eventually. There won’t be Applejack, or Zecora, if they go through with that, just a doppelganger that looks like Applejack. Though one benefit of the leak is they couldn’t likely have avoided hearing how popular that idea was, and hopefully have had time to rethink it.

Apu even sells much of the same old stuff Apu was selling last week, after brushing off the accumulated dust and mold. Some of the hotdogs have been there so long they’ve gotten to know the customers who look at them and think better of buying them, and even try to wag their tails with excitement on seeing them again (though they don’t have tails because they’re not that kind of dog). Some may have even learned to say, “Thank you, come again!” too.
Regarding DHX’s negligence on their world-building (or lack there of) and the aforementioned thing about “Political Correctness”, I wouldn’t be so surprised! 😒
Because as we all know, Political Correctness ruins EVERYTHING!

Well, they already fired one of the original voice actors for literally 30% of the background cast, so this seems like just another nail in the coffin for an already dead show.

If a network show got rid of a character for being “culturally insensitive”, it could happen to just about any character of ethnic background.
No they don’t, you will be here until this series end and I’m not talking about Season 9 is not confirm by Hasbro yet. They not even show where you came from and your family Zecora.
