For me, it’s the implication that she’s an affectionate and caring person. She could have just laid down and stared at the lamp but she snuggled up beside Twilight, and she could have just done that but she also made a point of using her wing to keep Twilight more comfortable too :D

As long as they were turned off. As soon as one turned on she’d be like “Ooooh pretty!” She’s not outright mind-controlled by them or anything, but her number one favorite thing to do in the world is stare at a light XD

Yeah, it’s like @ma3a said; her wings are more like velvet than anything else. Evolutionary trait because at that size normal moth wings wouldn’t be strong enough to carry her. She’s a little dusty, but it’s more like a bit of dandruff than anything XD

To everyone saying how dusty she would be… Badumsquish clarified that mothpony wings are more durable because instead of being made out of chitin scales flüf here has wings that are a durable velvety material covering rigid veins to give them structure

The dust you get from moths is broken off scales from their wings. So long as they aren’t harmed, they aren’t dusty at all. This moth, being so large, would have much larger scales on her wings so there would be no dust at all.

By Celestia I remember picking one by the wing one and it’s wing broke in my fingers leaving but dust behind. I never tried to pick up a butterfly again the guilt is too much.
