A shadow covered the favela as a massive form rose over it: an avian titaness that could swallow the town whole, or crush entire districts underhoof with ease…
IF that titan hadn’t been a hyperactive, cheerful Hypgriff named Silverstream; doing a clawstand on a mountain for the local kids, that was. “Ta-daaa! Told you little guys I could do it!” She called to her friend sitting on the beach. “C’mon Smolder, try something for the kids. They wanna see a dragon breathe fire!”

Told you little guys I could do it!” She called to her friend sitting on the beach. “C’mon Smolder, try something for the kids. They wanna see a dragon breathe fire!”
“I’m not a circus dragon,” Smolder mumbled. She reclined, feeling the sun on her scales.
“Aww, come on; it’s fun! Besides, you like cute silly things; remember?” Silverstream giggled, fluttering her eyelashes. “And these little humans are soooo adorable! ESPECIALLY the kids! Besides, how are we going to spread friendship here if you’re just sitting on your rump over there?”
Smolder snorted fire. Silver had a point…but she was going to have WORDS with Gallus next time she saw him. Her love of cute things was supposed to stay private for now, dang it! She wanted to tell the others, but she wanted to do it herself; not have him blab it to them! “…Fine. I’ll be over in a bit. But I’m NOT doing tricks for them; no matter how cute they are!” This world was weird. Everything was so tiny and fragile here–it was like walking in a glass shop run by ants! Their buildings looked like they were made of solid stone, but they couldn’t even hold her sitting on them; they crumbled like cardboard.
Smolder started to scribble something in her notepad..and flinched. “Huh? Did something just…tickle my rear?” She looked down…to find a mob of humans throwing rocks, knives, and glass bottled at her (to them) giant sitting rear.
“H-hey! Quit it!” She yelled, restraining herself from slamming them aside with her tail.
“H-hey! Quit it!” She yelled, restraining herself from slamming them aside with her tail.
The barrage of fire continued, the rocks soon joined by tiny fire-bombs (Smolder knew they were a waste of good Dragon Wine*) and guns in pelting her where she sat.
“I said quit that! It feels weird!” She snapped, scratching her hip. The massed firing continued, and she rolled her eyes. “Ugh…What, you’re all worked up about the buildings I sat on? So what if my butt wrecks stuff? I’m huge, duh! What do you expect, that I’d just float like a bubble?”
That didn’t help either. “Oh, I get it. Because I smashed something I’m a monster? Well how about this?”
Smolder lifted a cheek, broken glass and powdered concrete raining down off her backside onto the crater she’d made, and peeled a sign off her rear. She held it up to the humans between two claws:
PROPRIEDADE DE EDIFÍCIOS CONVENIENTEMENTE VAZIOS, INC.**
The attacks tapered off as it dawned on the humans.
Smolder smirked and flicked an eyebrow. “Read it and weep, shrimps. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
Smolder smirked and flicked an eyebrow. “Read it and weep, shrimps. I didn’t do anything wrong.”
An awkward silence fell over the humans, and after a moment they began to file away; the excuse for their anger yanked out from under them.
Some laughed, even applauding the punchline they’d just lived through.
Others flushed red and gave the dragoness dirty looks, clearly humiliated.
Still more looked fearful, as if only now realizing just how huge Smolder really was.
They all quickly concealed or dropped their weapons as they went, hoping to save face after their unjustified–and useless–attack.

Smolder didn’t know the word, but the Schadenfreude felt great.
“Guess I wasn’t the only one butting in,” she quipped, idly wiggling down on the already-crushed buildings. On a flash of inspiration, she scribbled a note–she’d told the tiny humans off without having to threaten to squish them: that DEFINITELY was what Professor Fluttershy’s lesson on standing up for yourself without being a bully was about, right? Right! Maybe this homework assignment wouldn’t be too bad after all. Besides, it was nice and hot here; great weather for dragons…
Now that the humans weren’t bothering her, Smolder turned to Silverstream–and couldn’t stop herself from giggling. The Hippogriff wasn’t doing clawstands anymore, but sitting in the bay and holding a tiny Human boat up to her face; inspecting it and the tiny passengers inside like a filly would a new toy.
Oh yeah; she could learn to like this crazy, tiny place.
