Since when does Sweetie Belle have any romantic interest in anyone, let alone Spike?

You realize pony standards are different than human standards, right?
 
Rarity and the mane 6 are 15-18 years old, Spike is in the same age range as the CMC but because he’s a dragon he was likely taught by Twilight.
 
The CMC are also in their early teens (11-14) so yes he is around their age.

Either way there’s nothing inherently wrong with liking someone,usually,people are attracted to different things. and it’s not like Sweetie belle is just a version of Rarity that’s closer to Spike’s age and likes him back, she’s a completely different small horse.

Here’s my headcanon for the Mane 6’s ages.

Right. Spike went through his “rebellious teen” phase (the 14-15 year old period of time) during Dragon quest, which puts Twilight, assuming she was about 5-6 at the time, in the 20-21 year old age bracket. I also feel Rarity is older than the rest of the 6 and can’t be any younger than 28 by virtue of her successful business.
 
While “exact numbers” aren’t present, we just need to look at Spike’s normal lifestyle:  
-he participates with the mane 6 in nearly anything they do  
-he doesn’t attend a school and is actually smart enough to educate Twilight and Starlight on life skills  
-does standard housework competently (cooking, cleaning, dishes) and is left “home alone” frequently  
-showed his ability to fill out Twilight’s paperwork without incident while she went on the vacation with her family  
-does not attend a school of any kind (until season 8) and even then, he’s a TEACHER  
-has zero interactions with the CMC or any of the schoolyard ponies  
-his social free time is spent with Big Mac and even talked down Discord on two different occasions
 
Numbers aside, it’s plain to see that he’s not in the same age range as the CMC.

In Pony Berserker’s comics Sweetie has been making googly eyes at Spike.
 
So I don’t know if this a crack at canon SweetieSpike or fanon SweetieSpike.

I’d say closer to 10-12, and the same age as the CMC are (or were). You don’t usually see 5 years olds participating in racing competitions, studying for exams, working the farm, or travelling alone to visit family in the city. Plus their diction level was way higher than 5 years olds.
 
I don’t imagine Spike’s more than 3 years older than the CMC.

Actually, Twilight is roughly 16-18 years old.

Spike and sweetie belle ain’t the same age.
 
Twilight was like, 5 years old, when spike hatched.
 
And twilight is roughly 20-25, making spike 15-20.
 
Sweetie belle is a good 10+ years younger than rarity cause she’s in elementary school, making spike closer to rarity’s age than sweetie belle.
 
Spike only looks small because he was raised by ponies, not dragons.

Since when does Sweetie Belle “like him back?” We’ve seen zero canon evidence of this, whereas Rarity treats him with respect despite him being younger and goes out of her way to spend time with him.

Both are good, but Spike made his choice and has worked to earn her affection. Love is earned, love at first sight dies out, love from effort lasts.

Nothing wrong with appreciating a flower fully blossomed instead of looking at a bud.

“Likes you back”. Only as a friend. Also I don’t know why people give a damn about age. So what if he likes an older woman? The dragon deserves some love, and has helped Rarity enough to deserve her affection!
