@Diaz
I wouldn’t even bother with those two shows. Trying to be serious but either use too many comedy elements or too many fillers. Both are lost causes.
Star VS The forces of Evil is gonna go throught its final season next year, and it didn’t Left the same impact MLP, GF or AT did. Ducktales 2017 seems to take some inspiration from Gravity Falls itself, but it’s not leaving the Mark like Gf itself did. Milo Murphy’s Law…. Well that one might have Left a bigger impact if Disney didn’t treat it like Garbage (in terms of marketing and airings I mean). I’m not convinced that it was the timing that allowed those shows to leave a big impact. I mean indipendentely by when they were released, MLP would have still been a unique quality cartoon with pasteled talking ponies as Great characters, Adventure Time would have still been a RPG parody like show with a Great lore and memorable characters, and Gravity Falls would have still remained an Amazing show focused on mysteries. Timing or not, these shows are unique and Left their sign no matter when they Got released (besides like one user below said Steven Universe touched a big topic that many People are afraid to touch, it’s pretty much normal that it Left its sign). I don’t see much hope For the other current shows to become unforgettable classics, and of the upcoming ones, at least For what I see, only Amphibia had that potential to be One.

The reason those shows have a bigger impact, however, is because of timing. To be more accurate, they appeared when animation was getting really dumb and crappy besides a few small gems. Steven Universe is managing just because it is willing to go into a territory everyone else has been skittish of: LGBTQ.
That is not stopping their impact on the 2010s however. It’s just a different impact. Rather than trailblazing, they are remembered for just being strong shows. To put it another way, if Star vs had premiered when AT did, it would have the same impact.
In other words, it is far more a matter of timing verse quality.
OP actually makes a good point, but not in the way he should do. I’m seeing many People pointing out other shows of the decade that are worthy as much as these ones. They are but they are lacking of something THESE shows have: The impact. Even thought MLP aside, they are all over, they Left a big sign in the world of the entertainment, that Will make them being remembered for the ages. Other shows… Are not doing it: Star Vs The Forces of Evil, Ducktales 2017, Craig of The Creek, Milo Murphy’s Law and Wonder Over Yonder are yes Amazing shows, but they are not leaving such a big impact like these shows did, and they are not discussed that much on the internet, surely not as much as MLP, GF and AT. The only other one that is leaving a big impact is Steven Universe, I think it should be there too (IMO Phineas and Ferb was very impactful as well).
The saddest thing of all thought, is that not only the new shows are not having the same impact that MLP, GF, SU and AT left, but also I don’t see ANY other show that could be that impactful in the near future (the only one that has that potential is Disney’s Amphibia), so when MLP and SU Will end next year, it WILL be the end of an era. I don’t think there Will be other shows that will leave the same sign that Gravity Falls, MLP and Adventure time did, not in the near future. Let’s get ready For what is coming to us guys, dark ages wait For us after the end of MLP and SU next year…
I’ll be seeing you
In all the old familiar places
That this heart of mine embraces
All day and through
In that small cafe
The park across the way
The children’s carousel
The chestnut trees
The wishing well
I’ll be seeing you
In every lovely summer’s day
In everything that’s light and gay
I’ll always think of you that way
I’ll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I’ll be looking at the moon
But I’ll be seeing you
I’ll be seeing you
In every lovely summer’s day
In everything that’s light and gay
I’ll always think of you that way
I’ll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I’ll be looking at the moon
But I’ll be seeing you
@Ledvi
Why are you just assuming that you are the majority? Last I checked, the majority of people liked the shows, and it’s the vocal minority that complains about them.
@Ihhh
Sorry, but when majority, like myself included, states that shows like Steven Universe is god awful, or when shows that are mixed bag like Star vs TFoE, and our opinions overshadow the vocal minorities that like either show, guess what? Greater chances are that the show will either suck or be mixed bag.
I like TTG, but vocal minorities, myself included, will be overshadowed by adults who claims that the show sucks.
But whatever floats your boat, no matter how dysfunctional it is.
@Ihhh
Actually I can. Given the fact that multiple viewers or commenters that would get extremely upset to the point they would send an essay length comment on why they’re wrong in social media, or calling the person a moron because they insulted their favorite show while at the same time provide no explanation to the reason, it’s enough reason to call them out.
And by the way, I’ve already watched all of the episodes for both shows and neither show we’re interesting. At least with Star vs TFoE they either keep the fillers short or don’t make any at all, with Steven Universe there are too damn many that I stopped caring about the story driven events that the show wants us to give a damn about.
