Maybe the males are just androgynous. Autumn specifically mentioned a male Kirin during her song when she got to the Phantom of the Opera reference. The only obvious differences I could see between the models were the shapes of their horns and some who didn’t have eyelashes, maybe that has some significance. Of course it could just be season 1 all over again and the show staff just didn’t have the time or resources to make a whole new race and make distinct models for both sexes.
