Marigold went over the numbers, and reasons that the reason the Apple family farm is always in such trouble is that they’ve never raised their prices to account for inflation. For example when cider season rolls around, they still sell cider for two bits and then run out while they still have customers. I may not be a businesspony like Marigold, but even I can see that they should raise their prices to whatever brings in the most bits, even if that means having more supply than you sell.
