I’m not sure if I feel disappointed or impressed. On the one hoof, there were hints that Cozy Glow was actually trying to help others without getting something out of it. She came across as misguided in these appearances, so her diving straight into outright supervillainy was a weird choice. On the other hoof, she’s a fairly effective villain without super-powered magic as most had been in the past. Also, the implication she gave Flim and Flam Twilight’s book led nowhere. Lastly, it’s a bit disturbing to see a little girl trapped in Tartarus, even if I understand why, when Starlight only got a slap on the wrist. That’s a prison for dangerous monsters. She’s a little girl with wings. The cage would be enough.

Well for those are hinting towards the finale, please PLEASE remember to spoiler hide as much as you can.

She actually is the antagonist. she has something to do with lord tirek. She was trying to break up the school ponies AND the CMC. She manipulates the mane school ponies into doubting their confidence in their friendships. and then covering it up with something that makes her look thoughtful. And I debunked the theory of her being queen chrysalis. She just doesn’t fit into the puzzle, although you might think she would be. When i saw the end of “What lies beneath” I was in COMPLETE shock of what she was saying. It sounded TOTALLY off and something that someone would say if they had an evil inside/heaart. As for character design,Those red eyes just say something, as in being a normal evil eye color. And her cutiemark…chess is a game about strategy. Her cutie mark is a chess piece (a Rook, to be specific). However, I think her talent is not in playing chess, but at manipulation. a rook is referred to as more valuable than a queen and a “major piece”, also formerly called the Tower. Putting that into consideration, the rook mark is a subtle hint that she’s a major player in this season, and a Tower when seen in tarot cards can represent oncoming trouble and destruction. In “Marks for Efforts,” You could see the reflection of the elements of harmony, symbolizing she possibly could be after them (but unlikely) And her thinking that the element of magic was the “element of control” meaning that that’s a sign of her taking control of whatever she wants. And I don’t think it’s gonna be the mane 6 that’s gonna save the day again. so overall, this will not end well.

I’m on the fence about her being straight-up evil, or truly misguided. It could be either right now. Yes, she’s a scheming, two-faced liar, but that appears to be her approach even when she’s trying to be nice.
