I have a better Idea. Daring Do is BASED on Ditzy Doo. With her horrible sense of direction and boundless Energy she gets into and out of countless adventures and Time Turner writes idealized versions of it down. Daring Do’s looks are a swap of Derpy’s Mane and Coat for anonymity.

Pretty soft for a Sony.
I actually wouldn’t mind for Equestria’s real life equivalent of Daring Do’s author to show up in a season 3 or 4 eqpisode.  
But instead of being a recoloring of Rainbow Dash, be a slightly different looking pegasus, but also much older and more grown up.  
Having lived a life full of adventure, a good sized family, a family of mail ponies is okay too.

I seem to remember this one comic where Derpy is waiting for her sister at the train station. Dash dismisses it, and tells her about a Daring Do signing she’s going to. Of course, it turns out that Daring Do IS her sister, without Dash ever learning about it.
 
Did that really happen, or did I only dream it?
