This actually gives us a fairly good idea of how old Sandbar is: He’s shorter than his father but taller than his mother, suggesting that he’s old enough for his age to be largely unimportant, the parents look around Windy’s age for some reason, and he has a newborn sibling (though horses don’t have menopause, in fact AFAIK it only exists in humans)
