His logic is kinda shitty honestly, he’s saying he wants characters to basically get stale and to never change which would make a terrible show since most villains appear often or multiple times; take a series like DBZ/S where rarely does a villain return with the exact same strategy or actions, hell Freeiza(one of the greatest anime villains) progressed to a role that made him chaotic neutral while keeping his usual villainous personality and tone. Better yet think Vegeta, had he followed this guy’s logic he wouldn’t be the antihero he is after gaining a new perspective

Technically she’s not redeemed, she’s just not actively attempting to cause trouble; that’s what almost every redemption is, a character stops being extremely malicious. Discord in “a matter of Principle” is a perfect example of how redemption doesn’t affect personality only how the act toward the main cast/“good guys”
