yeah, not Trixie. She is both the joke and it’s punch line, though she’s not made to be that important so similar to spike she’s supposed to be mostly ignored by the viewer.
i mean, the showrunners could make her less oblivious to her friends’ feelings or perhaps make her a little less obnoxiously narcissistic. maybe have her drop a good line here or there, some funny jokes and whatnot.

Now how would she make a good antagonist, her magic is weak shit and the only time she was dangerous was with that stupid alicorn amulet which at this point is most likely nothing for twilight and most definitely not gonna do anything toward starlight. Before the amulet all she was just a huge lair who just kept being and attention whore who wanted to be seen by everyone; she was no real threat to anyone but herself. how is that a villain to you? to me it seems like an annoying child ho will keep throwing tantrums until they either get what they want or are given some substitute.
yeah, she could make a good ANTAGONIST, but she’s a secondary character who’s written to where, on some level, we’re supposed to sympathize with her and root for her. making her this absolutely annoying and unlikable to make her a “foil” as you put it, sort of defeats her character.
@NLTLF
I think that’s kinda unfair of a joke. I’ve seen many nice Trixie fans around. Even the site admins here like her.
I kinda like her too, even if she is a biotch. I think she makes a good foil for Starlight Glimmer. When you have somebody with little impulse control like her hanging around somebody as frigid, and awkward as Starlight, it’s quite amusing.
