Sunset never wanted anyone to feel sorry for her and she takes did full responsibility for what she did you’re taking things out of context again in rainbow rocks sunset was questioning her place and were she belonged amongst her friends and CHS again you’re not paying attention
there was no excuse for her to be new to it, considering how much time had passed between EqG 1 and EqG 2. if she did, that’s her own damn fault; that just further proves that she’s not meant to be a heroine.
<None of that proves she has a quick temper.

None of that proves she has a quick temper. In fact she was justified in yelling at twilight since she did a big mistake, its justified and doesnt prove she has a temper.

There is a large time gap in between the first Equestria Girls Movie and Rainbow Rocks season 4 and the shorts take place in between that time gap also twilight offered sunset that chance she’s the one who convinced her to be friends with the Humane 6

In Rainbow Rocks sunset was still new to the whole friendship thing and the school still hated her so when her friendship with the rainbooms was at risk Trixie pushed her buttons and she snapped.
In Friendship Games she was stressed because of all the Magic Portals and random pony ups and she couldn’t make sense of it.
In Mirror Magic She was so worried because all Magic stuff has been happening alot and sunset kept worrying about what things that were out of her control starlight reminded her to focus on the now instead of present
In Rollercoaster of Friendship flim and flam were scamming her and Sci-twi and she broke her hands so she had every right to be pissed

she’s not too flawed; her only (huge gaping) flaw is her inconsistency in her personality. that, coupled with the notion that she’s always in the right and does no wrong makes her the goddamn motherfucking chickenshit perfect hot mess.
look at how fucking trixie was treated compared to sunset and glimmer, and you defend this
she is too perfect and her flaws are treated as charming character traits, while others are punished and called out for theirs
So it’s “she’s too perfect” to “she’s too flawed.”

Yes this is what I meant by recent material, in particular when Contaflone is writing her character. Otherwise saying that the short temper thing has been consistant since RR is false.
I’m not presenting opinions but observations, straight from the episodes.
Opinions are based on what person feels, observations are based on what person sees.
And those are what I have seen from each episode. They are not opinions.
There is difference between getting angry and having a bad temper.
Anyone can get angry yes, but how easily person gets angry, depends of their temper.
And this temper is Sunset’s flaw. She is clearly more temperamental than others. The base character for her has not changed from first movie. She just stopped trying to control others and bullying them to get what she wanted and became friendly.
And about skills once more…
We have had 7 seasons of pony versions to follow and show how they gained their skills in the past, before the time where the series started.
But Sunset has only had 3 movies, 2 specials and few random shorts to show hers. The only skill, that isn’t backed up by the “Princess Celestia’s price pupil” background, is playing guitar.
In same way, we had never seen Rarity play piano, RD to play guitar/write songs, AJ to play bass, Fluttershy to play tambourine or Pinkie Pie to play drums before the Rainbow Rocks Prequel Shorts.
None of the pony versions had done any of those before.
The human versions also get the magic powers just straight up handed to them. When they never had them before.
Since, you know…humans.
And somehow only Sunset, who IS the actual pony version, apparently gets magic powers just handed to her?
