Ahh. I forgot about Chronicles, but I do remember that they chronicle all of the kings and usually comment on if they were tolerant of other religions. Usually, the tolerant ones were noted as “evil in The Lord’s sight.”
 
Well, when you have some people who you have been carefully and patiently showing the truth to, and they are supposed to be showing it to the world, lies sneaking in is not a good thing to let happen.

The Annals (or Chronicles) of the Kings of Israel, not to be confused with either the books of Kings or Chronicles in the Bible. This is a book that both those two cite for the readers to reference the information from. They are completely lost.

Hard to say. Could have been a lost book of the Bible, or it could be a secular book that was lost to time.

I am human, hear me err.
The King James version has “chronicles” instead of “annals.” So, unless the more modern translation has the books of “Chronicles” retranslated as “Annals,” evidently the connection is indeed lost.

1 & 2 Kings along with 1 & 2 Chronicles are an overview of these kings from mostly a strictly religious view. They both frequently reference this history book that records all the actions of the kings, not just the ones relevant to their relationship with God, but it’s been lost forever.
