Jersey Mike's/Allrecipes
As someone who has been frequenting Jersey Mike’s restaurants for years, I like to think that I know the chain and what it offers pretty well. However, every once in a while, a video of someone’s Jersey Mike’s order comes across my TikTok “For You” page that utterly blows my mind.
While Nick Jonas taught me that you could build your own sub at Jersey Mike’s, another viral order introduced me to ingredients that are now my go-to: Rosemary Parmesan bread and Hot Chopped Pepper Relish.
In my mind, my Jersey Mike’s order, a Club Sub made Mike’s Way with pickles, banana peppers, and Hot Chopped Pepper Relish on Rosemary Parmesan bread, is perfect as-is. However, that doesn’t mean I won’t give a different popular order a try. After all, if I were stuck in my ways, I never would have learned about the bread and spicy pickled relish that changed my sub forever.
Recently, a TikTok user shared the Jersey Mike’s order that she craves “every single day,” and it’s something that most people didn’t even know you could order at Jersey Mike’s (including me). TikToker Lauren Hunter introduced many Jersey Mike’s fans to its Buffalo Chicken Wrap.
The Viral Jersey Mike's Buffalo Chicken Wrap
A wrap at Jersey Mike’s? I was just as shocked. I always knew you could order your sub bread-free in a bowl, but never as a wrap. In fact, you can make any Jersey Mike’s sandwich a wrap—and the chain even offers a choice of white or wheat wraps.
Hunter’s go-to is the hot Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak in wrap form. It’s made with chicken, Frank’s RedHot Sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and blue cheese dressing—though Hunter says she switches the blue cheese for ranch.
“This will change your life,” she says.
Now, dozens of other TikTok users have tried the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak Wrap for the first time, calling it a “10/10” and “really good.” So, of course, I had to give it a go to see if the wrap could dethrone my favorite order.

Personally, I’m a blue cheese stan, so I left the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak fillings as-is and ordered it on the white wrap. The wrap is priced the same as the regular sub, which I’m not sure is necessarily proportional in price to what you get. Maybe it’s because the sub rolls seem larger, but it feels like you get more food in a traditional sandwich than you do in the wrap—and, again, likely because of the bread, the sub is a bit more filling.
The first thing I noticed was that my wrap didn’t look very saucy. Some of the videos showed Buffalo sauce pouring out of the sides, while mine looked like a pretty light amount of hot sauce. So, I did end up getting my own cup of Frank’s RedHot to give it a little umph.
Taste-wise, the wrap is really good. The chicken is tasty and I like Jersey Mike’s shredded lettuce. However, I don’t think it has what it takes to become my new go-to.
I go to Jersey Mike’s for the deli sandwiches with customizable toppings. If I want a Buffalo chicken wrap, there are delis and restaurants that specialize in that sort of thing, so I’d probably opt for that instead.
But, when it comes to the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak Wrap—and in the words of Abby Lee Miller—it was good, but I'm waiting for it to be great. So, a Club Sub on Rosemary Parm bread with Hot Chopped Pepper Relish for me it is.
