the best thing people can do is say no and just avoid microtransactions entirely  
byt i dont see that happening so i just say screw it and learn to accept that things change  
things change that you want or not want at all

It’s even worse in singleplayer games - “buy this to unlock all map locations instantly!” - like, what’s the point in even playing the game if you buy that?

I remember that I got the katana in halo two first came out that was a pain to earn

back then you didnt have to pay to get a cool skin or weapon  
you had to earn it by leveling up or doing specific challenges  
i miss those days before microtransactions took over
