Theres a theory that Starlight and Sunburst like each other because subconsciously they remind each other of their parents.
 
There is also a fair amount of irl research on that topic. If a daughter admires her father, she may seek out a man who has values and qualities identical to her father’s.

It’s that way in the ep, due to the parents being opposites of how their children were, which crossed over and caused some users to claim that Star and Sun are actually siblings.

In the thumbnail it looked like “History of Milk,” which would be funnier.
