maybe one of the writers read a similar fanfic and decided to make an ep of it. we already know that the writers are messing with us based on all the innuendo in both shows wouldn’t surprise me.
I just wanted to watch a show for little girls,now it turn to “Sonic-tier humanoid in high school/oooooh lesbian subtext shit”. A bisexual person could spend their whole life only dating on the other side and still be bi, so no. Even if a character actually comes out and says “I’m hetero”, they can always come out again later; plenty of people in the real world do that as self defense already.
I’m sure this has been said before, but I’ll say it myself since it’s the first thing that always comes to mind when people ship Rarity with other girls: Rarity is one of the few character confirmed heterosexual and has been since Season 1.
Not to say that there isn’t room to write her as bi/pansexual or whatnot, I always thought you could get around that simply by suggesting that Rarity has always had strong ideas of what kind of life she thinks she wants and that included a traditional marriage to a handsome prince type of man without ever noticing that she never was attracted to them to start with, but that can’t work unless time is spent exploring those ideas, and I severely doubt EG will ever bother doing that.
