Next in my Dawnverse headcanon collection is the SoarinJack Family!
 
Some changes here: hopefully the sizes differences in the stallions is noticeable, Macoun “Mack” Apple got a new cutie mark, and Applejack now sports some markings. The most drastic change is to Honey Apple (previously Meadow Honey) who sports both markings, a new name, and a new cutie mark.
 
Below is some information on this Dawnverse pairing:
 
Soarin’:  
Soarin’, known among his Wonderbolt friends as the fastest bachelor, never thought he would find himself settling on an apple farm, yet his whole world cleared once he met Applejack: it was love at first sight for the stallion. After years of courting, Soain’ and Applejack married under the intertwined apple and pear tree in the farthest orchard of Sweet Apple Acres. Soarin always secretly knew that he wanted a large loving family, stemming from a childhood basically alone. From this, Soarin’ was ecstatic when his first son Grease Spot was born only a year later. As a father, Soarin’ is more relaxed and laid back as supposed to his proud, stern, stubborn wife. Soarin’ supported his first son’s unique gift in mechanics by supplying spare parts for the colt to play with in his younger years. With the birth of his second son Macoun, Soarin’ felt his heart swell with pride and joy. Soarin’ proed to be an excellent coach for his sons, and so coached them in sports such as running and hoofball. When Honey Apple was born, Soarin’s heart melted as she became daddy’s little girl sharing a passion for spreading their wings under sunlight. Soarin’ support his children’s hobbies and talents, especially Grease’s “destructive” actions, and even with Grease leaving high school to work with the local mechanic. Whether his laid back attitude towards his children is through a relaxed nature or a deeper desire for his only family to never hate and leave him like his own father did, not even Soarin’ knows.
 
Fun Facts:  
- Soarin’ retires from the Wonderbolts once Honey Apple is born to help his stressed out wife more on the Apple farm.  
- Soarin’ serves as a Ponyville hoofball coach: he loves coaching the school aged ponies.  
- Although known as a womanizing bachelor during his youthful years, Soarin’ always wanted a family since his own childhood was vacant of a loving and warm family.  
- Soarin’ makes a mean singer and yodeler: his claim to fame is his ability to woo his wife with his songs.
 
Applejack:  
No one ever thought that the hard working earth mare of Sweet Apple Acres would fall in love with a fast and smooth talking Wonderbolt known for his womanizing ways: however, the mare seemed to see something in the pegasus not many other saw. Applejack took no sh*t from Soarin’ when he began courting her, and she made him work both on the farm and on her heart for three years before she eagerly agreed to marry the stallion. Wanting to start a family right away, Applejack birthed her first son in no time, and that day Applejack became the most doting and protective mother in Ponyville. Wanting to protect her first born son Grease from literally everything, Applejack did everything for the colt, ranging from chewing his food to strapping a helmet to his small head. At first Grease loved the attention from his mama; however once he reached school aged, Grease became irritated with his over protective mama. When Grease began showing interests in mechanics and started dismantling farm equipment, Applejack grew fearful for her son’s protection, but also irritated in how her son’s talent was not in apples but in breaking things! There was tension between Applejack and Grease well into the later’s adulthood stemming from multiple angles: Applejack wanting to protect her son, Applejack growing irritated at having to fix her son’s messes, Grease feeling that his mama favored his brother “Mack” the perfect Apple son, and both ponies not knowing how to take deep breaths and actually talk to each other. With Honey Apple, Applejack seemed to finally learn her lesson and back off on over-protectiveness.
 
Fun Facts:  
- Applejack eventually serves as a co-owner of Sweet Apple Acres alongside her big brother Big Macintosh after the death of Granny Smith.  
- Applejack is the strongest and tallest member of her Apple family.  
- Applejack, along with her siblings, are a quarter Clydesdale, and so exhibit taller and sturdier bodies and furrier fetlocks.  
- Although hard pressed to admit it, Applejack is easily calmed by her husband’s singing and being wrapped around his wings.  
- Applejack is bisexual, although she seems to lean towards stallions. She did share a relationship with Rarity for some time before the unicorn ended the relationship.
