It’s the summer solstice (at least, in the northern hemisphere)! And with the solstice is the day of Princess Celestia! To commemorate the occasion, I think the royal sisters would take a stroll and see the creatures of the season–particularly fireflies. I took a slightly different style with this drawing, using some varying textured tools.

Despite getting worried by the synopsis for “A Royal Problem” (quote: “the royal sisters don’t appreciate one another”), I turned out pretty content with the episode. I’m glad the sisters finally broke through their worst barrier, and got the relationship they deserved several seasons ago.
 
Although their past is packed with feels, I’d really enjoy seeing some more sisterly bonding right about now. healthy sibling relationships are good for the soul : )
