This reminds me of the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series, in which Greg and his family cleaned the whole house everyday, so they wouldn’t have to worry about their own Russian maid of calling their house a pigsty (even though she’s supposed to be the one responsible for the cleaning in the first place)
