I don’t know about that, the hippogriff designs integrate the pony and bird parts very nicely, certainly more so than the griffons integrate their bird and cat parts. I like the griffon designs a lot, but the hippogriff designs don’t feel random to me, and certainly not messy.

This illustrates why the griffons are better; they have tighter and more iconic designs, while the hippogriffs kinda feel like a random mess.

She’s half-pony, but can switch her other half. The confusing part is that the pony half switches too.
